35 Million Smartphones, Enabled Nfc in 2011

NFC-compatible smartphones sold in 2011 are about 35 million. In 2012, could become 80 million.

The Near Field Communication has experienced at 2011 a rather important for their evolution according to data published by IMS Research, in fact, over the past 12 months were approximately 35 million smartphones sold worldwide, enabled to use this standard communication , which continues step by step to make its way in the mobile sector.

The rise of this technology, according to IMS, would be mainly due upon arrival on the market of devices produced by almost all the biggest names in the mobile phone: Samsung, HTC, Nokia and RIM are only a few, rather than with heterogeneous devices and targeted to different segments of the market that has so encouraged the spread of the NFC. Appeal, however, Apple is still missing, which it preferred to postpone the onset of this technology on-board edition of the iPhone 5 at least or even to the next.
According to the projections, then, by the end of 2012 the number of NFC-compatible smartphones to grow around 80 million, representing in fact one of the most important companies in the mobile segment. Such a rapid spread has also been accompanied by a growing interest by companies providing services of various kinds that have signed agreements for the development of new tools, especially in the field of mobile payments: Google Wallet, it is only the most known, but there are joint ventures that are ready to give battle to the Mountain View giant.
In the meantime, then, start making assumptions regarding the first large-scale applications of this technology: sources close to the giant of the research, for example, speaks of a possible presence of Google Wallet between the instruments of payment accepted for the next Olympics Games in London, with the possibility to purchase tickets directly with the smartphone. Technology is very important in our life. Many thing made by technology like a smartphones, different types of machines etc. The moment in which mobile devices will replace the cash is still some way off, but this effect continues to experience small steps towards an increasingly digital future.
